After much decision making as to what I found interesting enough to do for my thesis over a span of three quarters, I came to a conclusion; I am very interested in the way nature reacts with humans so with this idea I decided to photograph the way nature is starting to take over manmade objects, and buildings/places. I have started off pretty vague but have gotten feedback from my thesis committee that I should start looking deeper into this idea and think about photographing places that have also been engulfed by fire, water, and other natural disasters, so that is what I will be looking at/for this quarter. I have searched for photographs of structures when they were first built, just simply to see the difference of how they look now and to see how nature has taken its toll on these structures. I am in the middle of reading The Man-Made World, which talks about how we have essentially taken a natural world and made it into what we think we need or how we want our world to look. If there are any suggestions as to where I could go and shoot those would be very helpful. Thanks!
